Congratulations to super-talented film editor (and my brother) Paul Gattuso of Paul’s Place in Boston for editing the feature documentary Underwater Dreams. The film is an “epic story of how the sons of undocumented Mexican immigrants learned how to build an underwater robot from Home Depot parts … and defeat engineering powerhouse MIT in the process”

The press has been terrific. The LA Times calls it “inspiring and insightful.” The San Francisco Chronicle says, “The awards-worthy ‘Underwater Dreams’ is by turns rousing and heartbreaking, and organically touches on important social issues.” Film Intuition raves: “passionate, gripping and at times heartbreaking.”

See director Mary Mazzio on the Colbert Report. Listen to her interviewed on NPR’s “Hear and Now.”

Listen to producer Jeb Bush, Jr., on NPR’s “Tell Me More.”

The film is available via OnDemand from your cable provider, on DVD, and on Vimeo On Demand.
