Project Description

Hunterdon Land Trust

Web design / Copywriting

A nonprofit conservation group, the Land Trust wanted a website with bold, eye-catching images, concise messaging and intuitive navigation. We drafted several key messages, wrote or edited the copy, organized a team of photographers to shoot featured images, and designed the site’s overall structure and layout.

Stunning photos make an instant emotional connection with viewers and large graphical buttons invite visitors deeper into the site to learn more about the organization without overwhelming them with too many choices or too much information. Messages throughout the site emphasize how the Land Trust benefits the community and builds an implicit case for support.

The site was built on a WordPress platform. After a few hours of training, the Land Trust staff took over the site’s day-to-day operation. Revisions that required hours on the group’s old website now take only minutes. The site includes a filterable portfolio of the organization’s preserves with interactive Google maps, a user signup with online database, a blog, social media integration, analytics, and built-in SEO.
