Our old friend Bill Kerig asked us to put the finishing touches on a poster and DVD case for his new film “Ready to Fly,” an inspiring documentary about the struggle of champion ski jumper Lindsey Van and the U.S. Women’s Ski Jumping Team to compete at the 2014 Winter Olympics.
Unbelievably, the International Olympic Committee only recently allowed women to compete in ski jumping. It was the only winter sport that didn’t include females, despite the fact that the best women jumpers sometimes outdistance their male counterparts.
“Ready to Fly” is a follow-up to Bill’s 2008 book “The Edge of Never,” published under our Stone Creek imprint and later turned into a film shown in theaters throughout the country and broadcast on Showtime.
