The Edge of Never

Written by Bill Kerig and published under our Stone Creek imprint, ”The Edge of Never” chronicles the adventure of young extreme skier Kye Petersen, who attempts to ski the deadly mountain where his father, renowned skier Trevor Petersen, was killed in an avalanche.
A documentary film based on the book and directed by Kerig was released theatrically in 2009, broadcast on Showtime in 2010, and shown at film festivals and on television around the world. We were thrilled to be asked to design movie posters, DVD cases and other collateral for the film’s release.
Praise from the publishing industry includes ranking as a finalist in both the Ben Franklin and ForeWord Book of the Year competitions as well as an Indie Next Selection honor.
The film has been chosen as a finalist in the Whistler Film Festival and an official selection of Telluride MountainFilm and the X-Dance Film Festival. And in a rare double honor, the Banff Mountain Festival selected “The Edge of Never” as a finalist in both book and film categories.
